It started with a minibike.
Mike Redline swapped his first engine at eight years old. He'd been given a chopper minibike with a five-horsepower motor and outgrew the top speed almost immediately. Then he noticed the family snowblower had ten horsepower and roughly the right bolt pattern. He made the swap with hand tools in a driveway in Woodstock, New York, and has been doing some version of it ever since.
A hundred-plus vehicles later
Cars, trucks and motorcycles have never just been transportation. They're projects, road trips, bad ideas, good friends and milestones. Mike has owned and worked on more than a hundred vehicles over the years, from practical beaters to machines that made absolutely no practical sense—which is usually where the best stories start.
Why the custom books?
Car people are hard to buy for. They already have the tools, the hats, the shirts and usually strong opinions about all of it. A custom book is different because it isn't really about the object. It's about the years, the person and the memories attached to it.
